Folia for Desktop
The same engine that powers every free tool on this site — without a browser tab's memory limit, and with the features a browser simply cannot offer.

No size limit at all
A browser tab can only hold so much. The desktop app uses your whole machine, so a 2 GB scan is unremarkable — and it still never uploads your file.
Batch processing
Apply the same steps to a hundred files at once — watermark, number, compress, convert — instead of one at a time.
AI that can run locally
Summarise and rewrite with a model on your own machine, with a per-document "local only" lock that blocks the cloud entirely for sensitive files.
Certificate signing
Real cryptographic signatures with your own certificate, not just a signature image.
Read aloud, offline
The natural Folia voice, running on your machine with no internet connection.
Works with no internet
Everything runs offline. Useful on a plane, and non-negotiable in a secure environment.
Do I need it?
Honestly, most people don't. If you merge the occasional PDF or convert a document now and then, the free web tools do the whole job and always will — that is not a trial, and there is no feature we are holding back to force an upgrade.
The desktop app earns its place when you hit one of three walls: files too big for a browser tab, the same operation across dozens of documents, or work that must never touch a network. If none of those describe you, stay on the free tools with our blessing.
Is the web version cut down?
No. It is the same engine — the identical code, shared between both products, so a fix in one is a fix in the other. The web version's only genuine limit is your browser's memory ceiling, which is a constraint of the browser rather than a decision of ours.
